http://www.google.com is a URL.

A  URL is the Internet address of a web page.

Your home page at SmugMug has a URL. Every gallery page you view has one. Every photo has one.

How do I know what the URL of a page is?

You surf the web with browser software, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. Usually, it displays the address (URL) of the page you're viewing, as you see with the picture of Google's home page, above right. If it doesn't, you can tell it to:

How do I copy a URL?

Click your mouse on one side of the URL, hold the mouse button down, and drag it over the entire URL. It will highlight and look something like this:
