Lower Abs Workout Myths: Don't Waste Your Time

Written By Richard Genet

Not surprisingly individuals think that the more situps, crunches, chairs, and belly exercises you do, the more flab you lose around you abs. In fact, all that will happen is your tummy will get bigger and you wont get any definition around your lower abs at all.

In fact you must spend 85% of your time working on other areas of your body, which in turn will burn fat, and work specifically on techniques that strengthen your core. For example if you focus on squats, snatches, swings, press ups and pulls, then your lower abs will show through and start to give you the definition you're looking for.

Then when you go down to the sports club, you should at least spend around 80% of your time exercising on other areas of the body, focused around techniques that require core stability. What I mean by this is if you focus on squats, snatches, swings, presses, mountain climbers and pulls then your lower abs will finally appear through.

What you have to understand is that you are doing 2 things. Firstly increasing your metabolism to a new plateau, which in turn will burn fat. Then by performing multi-joint exercises, you are indirectly strengthening your core muscles, because it is trying to stabilise your body. There are so many muscle groups around your stomach, you can't fail to show your lower abs more, and you will definatley be pleased with the result.

Stay with these key points and you will lose fat, and most importantly your lower abs will get definition.
